Short version: We don't have access to your data. AetherTime stores everything locally on your machine. The app makes zero automatic network requests — no telemetry, no tracking, no analytics, no data exfiltration. The only network request is an optional manual check for updates, triggered by you. Period.
Nothing. AetherTime does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics SDKs, no tracking cookies, and no telemetry.
All your data — tasks, projects, time entries, billing records, settings — is stored in a SQLite database on your local machine. The file is located at a path you choose (defaults to ~/AetherTime/data/aethertime.db). We never see it. We cannot access it. It belongs to you.
AetherTime makes exactly one type of network request:
That's it. AetherTime has no phone-home mechanism, no usage reporting, no crash dumps, and no analytics pings.
AetherTime does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app is self-contained and fully offline-capable.
License purchases are handled via email or direct payment. We do not store or process payment information on our servers. Payment details are handled by the payment processor you choose (PayPal, Zelle, etc.) and are subject to their privacy policies.
When you choose to check for updates, the app sends a request to GitHub's public API to fetch the latest release tag. No personal data is included in this request. GitHub's privacy policy applies to that interaction.
Because we don't collect your data, there's nothing to access, correct, delete, or export on our end. Your data lives on your machine — you control it fully. If you want to back it up, move it, or delete it, you can do so directly through the app or by managing the database file yourself.
If you have questions about this policy, reach out at support@aethersol.io.
If you email us about the beta, launch, or anything else, we use your email address only to respond to you and send you AetherTime updates you've asked for. We do not sell, share, or rent your email address to anyone. You can ask to be removed at any time by replying "delete me" to any email from us.
